Yokohama, Japan
I'm a Brit who lives in Japan. I started DJing back in 2003/2004 and back then had 2nd hand Technics 1200s with a mixture that only had bass and treble equalizers. I always bought drum and bass records, initially only buying records that I'd heard on Fabio and Grooverider's Radio 1 show (RIP). Producers such as Calibre, High Contrast, Makoto, Marky & XRS to name just a few that, to this day, I still love.
Now, in 2013, I no longer have record decks or records (space, sound contraints, time and cost) but am getting more into the digital type of DJing. When the time comes, I'm sure that I'll splash out on some Pioneer CDJs, but for now it's computer based stuff (which leaves me feeling quite empty!)
I am happy that I've kept up with what's going on in the world of drum and bass (it's great to see it alive and so well) and look forward to embrace it more closely by dusting off my old DJing hands in the near future.
