Alec Pritchard (AKA On The Cheap) has been DJ'ing since 1997 and by the turn of the millennium his obsession had led to the acquisition of 600+ records. The craft had to be kept fresh: more records = more ideas... it is a vicious circle that only a fellow vinyl aficionado could ever begin to understand.
Turning his hand to a pulsating, refined sound of Deep House and Tech House, he sent a string of good demo tapes to Bristol-based promoters and netted bookings in several bars/clubs in the City, including a 2 hour set at the famous Thekla club.
In 2002 Alec hit University in Leicester to study for a Music Technology Degree, as he began to venture into music production and promoting his own events.
Since getting his degree in Summer 2006, Alec moved to Newcastle and continues to spin his unique blend of fresh, colourful deep/techy House music. All his mixes/productions are available to download at www.alecpritchard.com for free in premium quality 320kbps mp3. Get in amongst it!
