Founder of Hott Records and Black Vinyl Records. Veteran DJ from London. One time ECHOES magazine journalist, Kiss FM producer and promoter/resident at the long running Soul Movement club in London's Chinatown. Remixer and producer under various names including Splice Of Life, Tinderbox, Futuresoul, Militant Soul Productions, AK47, Ghettoblaster and more recently as Russell & Woods, Project 268 and under his own name. Recent releases on AO Records, Astro-life and the 2022 album 'Tracks From The Tropics' on esteemed Italian label IRMA Records can be found on Traxsource, Spotify and in all the usual places. Recently returned from 10+ years living in the Caribbean, Alan currently spends his time following Leyton Orient FC, playing cricket for Walthamstow CC, the Leyton Orient Supporters CC and Essex Seniors while also making tracks back home in suddenly trendy Walthamstow.

Most of the Black Vinyl releases still owned by the label are available in the usual places.
