Former Senior Producer at BBC Radio Two and The BBC World Service who came to radio from working the clubs and discotheques of the London area and then Denmark and Scandinavia. After turning a pro dj in 1966 Alan came into Pirate Radio with the Voice of Peace off the coast of Israel in the 1970's then to BBC Radio Oxford, Swansea Sound, Severn Sound, GWR FM, Bath FM and QEFM before settling at the BBC again at Radio 2. Alan has also worked freelance with BBC Radio London, Jazz FM and with various BBC local stations making syndicated music documentaries as well as taking over the reigns on Country Style mas it's final presenter/dj at the BBC World Service after the death of his good friend Wally Whyton. His current syndicated programme 'Americanza' has been running for 7 years. Alan has also acted in several mfilms and TV productions including Robin of Sherwood, Casualty, Boon and award winning 'Reasonable Force' and over the years has voiced many commercials and narrations.
