United States

I was born in New Jersey, and I am of Caucasian and Vietnamese descent. I was attracted to the arts at an early age. Art and drawing was my first passion, but I fell deeply in love with music and film in my teenage years. I taught myself how to play guitar at 14 and was awarded the John Philips Sousa Award the year I graduated high school for my musicianship. This led to pursuing a degree in Audio Engineering in college where I supported Keith Richards and Eric Clapton amongst many other legendary performers in recording sessions.

A couple of years after graduating with honors with an Associate’s Degree in Music Technology, I discovered Los Angeles, CA and was immediately drawn to its opportunities and culture. From 2003 to 2007, I performed with several hip hop groups and bands - must notably with “Requisite” as main composer/writer and lead vocalist where we shared the stage with E-40, The Ataris, Adema, and other major label recording acts in various venues - www.alqually.com
