I am a High School Senior at Eastside Preparatory School in Kirkland, WA, where I previously served as the Student Government President. My other roles there include being a Math and Spanish Study Buddy, a Peer Mentor for Middle School Students, and a writer for the school newspaper, The Eagle Eye. My primary project outside of school has been a non-profit called MoneySense, which is based around a browser-based game integrated into a classroom course for High School students about Personal Finances. My first experience with this project was through a pitch I delivered at Social Venture Partners Seattle's 2011 Social Innovation Fast Pitch event, where I placed 2nd in the High School category, winning a $1000 grant from Ashoka Youth Venture Seattle. The two other, more recent, projects that I've worked on have been the sale of a variety of car parts online through eBay for a neighbor, and the construction of a mini laser cutter for a customer in Peru.
