Dr. DJ Psiho thoughts:
Back in the day, we traveled 800 km just to reach a record shop—and back. We spent more on records than we ever earned from gigs. We listened to hundreds just to pick 20. Pressing a record was a dream. Getting a solid production and a label deal was a massive project. We invested serious money in equipment and thousands of hours to create something worthy of vinyl. Because of that, we respected the music and its creators. We knew exactly where the right track was among 100 records, and that’s why DJs earned respect—years of training for unforgettable sets. Vinyl stood for love, desire, persistence, knowledge, and dedication. Today, with full digitalization, much of that is lost—not just in music, but in film, photography, and design as well.
