I'm friendly, laid-back, and (I'd like to think) easy to get along with. I have a tendency to wallow in impractical and irrational optimism. I'm often itching to inject a philosophical debate into the most mundane of conversations, much to the chagrin of my friends and family.

I love kids, I love education, and I'll probably end up working with the two for a long time, in one capacity (and country) or another.

I'm currently residing in the grand old People's Republic, educating young communists and studying Chinese myself.
