Raised acoustically, I was never satisfied with recordings. In 1978 I built a recording truck because studios lacked interaction, but PA systems screwed the sound quality. I resumed the quest in 1997 and developed a new audio paradigm which replaces both studio and stage systems by unifying their advantages. The critical factor is NO MIXING, every chain is strictly one mic to one speaker, with dozens of special purpose speakers.
