Acid Chess Club is a founding director of Crate Mates, Tessellate and Chewin' The Fat (a mental health awareness charity). These are all diverse collectives which reflect art, music, culture and prime vibes, also being platforms for a parallel utopia of Melbourne’s music scene. He has just opened a new creative space in Thornbury called Outer Place!
ACC is the alter-ego of Stevie H - who has a taste for, nu-disco, funk & groove. Incorporating their mutual love for all things downtempo plus Stevie H’s influence, ACC delivers the likes of nu-jazz to jazz-rock, new-beat, afro-beat, electro, Balearic, break-beat, 80’s acid/synth/house and blues. As well as DJ-ing, he is also one of the members of live fusion jazz funk experimental band 'San of the Rambutan' - his taste in music reverberating through the sound they create.
