Mumbai based electronic performer with a penchant for retrospection. Marbman aka Aalhad Joshi picked up electronic music production in late 2016 after a long stint of pure rhythm based instrumentation and performance. The wide, inclusive, liberated and celebratory sound of electronic music (particularly house), along with the visuals and aesthetics of this universe pushed him into moving away from one instrument and towards the exploration of a wider range of sounds and flavours. Artists like Larry Heard, Glenn Astro, Baltra, Ross from Friends, X-coast, Yaeji, Coastdream, and Subjoi heavily influence the Marbman sound. With one prior signed release on Nrtya Records and one EP release on Antariksh and a grouping of singles & EPs on his personal SoundCloud page, Marbman aims to bring a sense of both looking back into a vague, distant and joyful past while at the same time making you look forward to a complex and rich future through the sounds of house, afro, acid and jazz.
