That’s how Jesse X-Ro Pinkney describes himself as a dj and producer. Never afraid to mix up it, his musical curations are his own therapy. Having grown up with his parent’s record collection consisting funk, jazz, and soul music (Earth Wind & Fire, Prince, Anita Baker), all which became infused with his own love for both hip-hop and electronic music, X-Ro ended up with a wide spectrum of musical influences. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: energetic synth work, soothing 808’s, slapping baseline’s, and soulful vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced X-Ro banging beat.
