Wobb d’Fnk is the funky, bass alias of House DJ, FreeSurf. Early in his career, Bass Head friends would ask for Bass at after parties. Being the adamant crate digger, he would find remixes of tracks friends loved. The reaction often times was “What the fuck?!” hence the name!

Since then, he has played several live shows including opening slots for Terrachrome, Late Night Radio and Artifakts as well as several shows in Charleston and livestreams.

“My favorite types of Bass music are spacey, wobby vibes with sexy vocals and glitchy noises. I always try to make it a journey of sound with songs flowing together seamlessly. I’d say my sound is a hybrid of Barclay Crenshaw, Pumpkin and Clozee, with some 90’s vocals or Griz-ish funk thrown in” says Curtis
