Lüneburg, Germany
“Wellenrauschen” is about melodic electronic music.
Guided by the search for “subtle sounds” and “that special tone.”
Over time, ever-changing sound worlds emerge, allowing many influences to flow in:
Electronic, atmospheric, independent.
(No dance, no mainstream, never…)
The musical spectrum of the show lies somewhere between downtempo, minimal, house, techno, electronic, ambient, indietronica, and related genres.
“Wellenrauschen” is not about genres.
Genres are more like cages.
“Wellenrauschen” is about music.
The focus is on new releases, though already released hidden gems are also featured from time to time.
New episodes of “Wellenrauschen” airs every two weeks on Sundays from 5 p.m. (MET) on FM Radio ZuSa in Germany. All episodes are back on air one week after the release airdate once another time on Sundays 22:00.
The show was founded by Gunnar Theuerkauff in 2002 and is still hosted by him.
