Nkechi the WarriorQueen is a Roots Reggae Selector and conscious music advocate sharing uplifting, spiritual vibrations since 1999. Her journey began on The Roots Feast Information Show on Genesis Radio, London (1999–2004), blending roots, culture, and conscious conversation. She returned to radio in 2014 with RootsFeast and Conscious Living Vibration on RealMusic FM, focusing on classic Roots & Culture and Dub from the ’70s and ’80s and very selective current tunes.
Deeply rooted in sound system culture, she draws inspiration from Jah Shaka, Channel One, Aba Shanti-I, and Jah Youth Sounds. Since 2015, she has performed on sound systems including Josiah, I-Creation, Masai Warrior, Oneness High Vibration, and Entebbe Sound, warmed up for Johnny Clarke, Mad Professor, and The Twinkle Brothers, and in 2025 debuted on Selectors Showcase (Strictly Vinyl) with three 7 hr-all-night solo vinyl sets. She currently has two shows on BBMC radio.
