WSLR+Fogartyville is a center for creative expression and community engagement that amplifies the voices of our diverse community, and promotes peace, sustainability, democracy, and economic & social justice.
WSLR, Inc. was established in 2004 to launch and oversee a 100-watt low-power, non-commercial community radio station dedicated to amplifying local voices. In August 2005, WSLR LP 96.5 FM took to the airwaves, made possible by the dedication and hard work of a small group of volunteers committed to creating an independent, grassroots media platform for Sarasota.
