Veejay Max was born in march 1966 in the Paris suburbs (Créteil) but his background are in the french West indies (Guadeloupe). He is part of the french hip-hop pioneers (French DJ championship 1990) . He began his carreer in 1985 and was among the best of the best. DJ Deenasty, DJ Molskee, DJ Cut Killer, DJ Jo and DJ Mehdi did not have a lot of competition in this era.
In France, the places to be were Radio 7, radio nova and the « Stalingrad » vacant lot. Veejay Max also used to paint and was a smurf dancer before starting the wheels of steels. His influences were in New-York and London and he quickly became a famous DJ.
