Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, Vahak Paul met songwriter/producer, Walter Dicristina back in the winter of 2008/09 while they were working with their close friend and Universal Music songwriter/producer, Jayson Dezuzio (Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Cobra Starship, Christina Aguilera, Lana Del Ray) at Jersey City studios, Treehouse Sound. They immediately bonded over their love of Sneaker Pimps/IAMX, Massive Attack, Portishead, Depeche Mode, New Order, and Joy Division. Over the years they have both performed and toured in many NJ/NYC based bands, but soon realized they needed to be writing music together. This culminated in the two working on a remix for ††† (Crosses). Villain + Zaver was born. Since then the two have worked on songs for upcoming pop artist, Car Astor, as well as other projects, and plan on releasing their debut ep in the very near future.
