UWM. is an Irish producer, sound engineer and studio resident at Kirkos Dublin. In recorded projects, collaborations and live sets, she continues to blend the industrial with the human, combining modular movement and serrated drum beats with field recordings and cassette re-sampling into an ever-evolving hypnotic soundscape.
Oscillating between the expansive and the minimal in liminal spaces, her live improvisation of sound synthesis draws from her work as a foley editor and sound assistant in the world of TV and film, and as a prolific collaborator across multiple genres in the Irish scene, most recently as half of electronic soul duo, Marguise. Collaborative and solo live sets at Dublin Modular, the Complex, Unit 44 Kirkos and Workman’s, along with workshop facilitation and community engagement continue to inform and influence her production and performance.
