Urban Soundwave is the collaboration of DJs Arron B and Darkan Rollin (Perpetuity), two long-time friends shaped by the UK underground scene. Their journey began at secondary school after hearing jungle on a tape—raw, energetic, and unlike anything they’d known. Too young for raves, they immersed themselves in pirate radio, record shops, and bootleg mixtapes.
As garage took over the airwaves, they became regulars at events like Twice As Nice and Pure Silk, inspired by DJs such as Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown. After getting their first decks, they honed their skills through house parties and mixtapes.
A turning point came at Moondance, where a DJ Zinc set reignited their love for jungle’s evolution into Drum & Bass. Since then, they’ve focused on DnB, playing across styles from liquid to jump-up and hosting shows on Love2Radio, DrumnBassWorldwide, and Edge 99.7 FM—driven to keep the culture moving forward.
