Unity FM is powered by the passion of our volunteers all wanting to see their local communities thrive. With its blend of mainly speech-based broadcast (in English but with provision for numerous community languages) we aim to get to grips with the issues that really affect our communities.

We provide a voice for our community, opportunities for honest debate and discussion, encourage community cohesion, facilitate volunteering and citizenship as well as help those wanting to work more closely with our communities.

We're not just a radio station. The real driving force behind the creation of Unity FM is to engage with the community to empower and equip individuals and groups with the capability to ensure positive change in society.

A lot of our work is in the form of community projects that go beyond the studio and right out into the community
