CHRIS BAUMANN is the youngest home-grown talent of Cologne’s PSYCHO THRILL club and vinyl imprint, whose current production “…calling Motor City” [PTNE 2116 ltd.ed. 12”, distributed via DBH Music] even has generated the attention of HARD WAX - Berlin’s eminent terminal for Techno and House records – as well as of Detroit’s vinyl center DETROIT THREADS prior to its official release.

Born and raised in Siegen [West-Germany], the adolescent Bauman already got infiltrated with the Acid House fever during the so-called “Summer of Love” in the late 80s by his uncle, who was working as a professional DJ and promoter in the local club scene at that time. Hence it is not very surprisingly that he already tried to work the turntables at the age of 12 for the first time and eventually picked up the record mixing of the traditional DJ school with the help and support of his uncle.
