I am a full time photographer who was a full time musician in his youth. A lot of my photo journalistic work involves audio and video recording in the field: my effort to help document and preserve rapidly disappearing oral traditions. A recent bout with bad health, resulting in multiple surgeries for a retinal detachment in both eyes, prompted me to get back into music production. Although I am happy to be still able to continue to practice my photography profession, I realized that the time has come in my life to release the plethora of unreleased sound materials existing in my archives, as well as re-mixing and composing new soundscapes and soundtracks.
