Ty Bru has been professionally active in the independent music scene for a decade. A 2005 graduate of Appalachian State University,Bru reached new heights by attaining a total of 5 degrees including International Business, Communication,Marketing,Journalism and Management.
Shortly after graduation,Bru went on a small summer tour through many European countries, France,Ireland,Switzerland,England,Belgium and Holland. Later in'05, Bru moved to China for a business career, but always incorporated live weekly sets at Club Hollywood in Suzhou, verifying that Bru was destined to rap.
In'07 his debut solo album,"On The Brink" was released through Mightier Than The Sword Records, making a tremendous impact worldwide by boasting the honor of being chosen by a distinguished panel of judges as the runner up for hip hop/rap album of the year at the 7th annual Independent Music Awards (IMAs).
