The Divino Maravilhoso radio show broadcasts on Takoma Radio, 94.3 FM in DC/Takoma, streaming at takomaradio.org, every Saturday night from 8-10pm eastern (US). Inspired by the tropicália anthem made famous by Gal Costa, written by Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil in 1968 that warns that the world is "dangerous, divine and marvelous." Our radio show presents a mind-bending mix of soulful vinyl gems from the favelas, ballrooms, housing projects and streets from the US, West Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Brazil, and beyond.
