Tunza’s Pride is a St. Helens based charity – U.K. registration number 1126994. Founded by St Helens born Ian Smith, the charity was first set up in November 2004. We work to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young people in the St Helens area and the North West of England by providing support, activities and in some instances financial assistance. We aim to raise the confidence and self-esteem of young people by offering a variety of experiences be it taking part in initiatives, weekly activities, school holiday clubs and many other schemes, based mostly at our very own Social Enterprise in St Helens, “The Tunza Centre” which opened for the first time in January 2014.
Tunza FM was born in May of 2017 as an initiative to help build confidence by offering children the chance to produce their own radio shows.
