Cumberbache Williams, percussionist and composer born in Caracas, based in London (United Kingdom), has been one of the key figures in British Latin music scene for many years. His expressive style combines African traditions with modern Caribbean innovations. In his music you can see a mix of Salsa, Funk, Descarga, jazz, poetry and rap, particularly with his own band, TUMBAITO, which formed in 1994. Tumbaito made his debut with the album "Otros Tiempos" (Other Times) in 1997. getting good reviews from the European press and especially by the legendary Charlie Gillet, BBC radio DJ and broadcaster, selected as one of the 20 best albums of the year, radio stations in Europe and Amsterdam Jazz FM, BBC and many other in countries such as Finland, Greece, Australia, Ireland, Sweden and Italy also played Tumbaito in its programming. In the year 1999 - 2000 British Ministry of Culture (Arts Council of England) recognized Williams and his band Tumbaito with a grant to tour and pro
