Shonti Elder has been producing an acoustic program on KSKA Public Radio in Anchorage, Alaska since 1979! She came to Alaska on a vacation and never moved back. As the six-time winner of the Alaska State Fair Fiddle Contests in Palmer, and Haines she has played in bands throughout Alaska and beyond. Shonti has very eclectic tastes and a wide appreciation of acoustic styles, from Celtic to swing, country and bluegrass to Americana singer-songwriters.
