A brand new vinyl imprint, Tormenta Electrica is notable for its mood rather than style. We are an international independent music label with a strong desire to explore and push unique music as well as the eccentricity of the minds of our artists. The label is focused on releasing on limited edition vinyl and digital formats. Based in Montevideo, Uruguay, it is inspired by a DIY nature and the various shades that music has to offer today.
Our debut 12" vinyl release "Gruth - Futile Demise EP" is an emotional and ritualistic journey through the mind and perception of Finnish artist Juha Puuperä. Drawing influence from Norwegian black metal, UK sound system culture and Italian horror cinema of the 70’s, Gruth pitches dark and aggressive textures into his sonic palette. The production methods are often experimental and the style rarely fits one box, varying from forward thinking techno to ritual ambient and doom industrial.
