A long-standing CodeSouth resident, Torbuck fronted Repent — a defining Friday 10pm techno broadcast that became a pillar of Brighton’s underground scene. Repent was a movement — raw, uncompromising techno energy every week, building a loyal following and firmly embedding itself in the city’s club culture.

Torbuck began as Matty T on the Worthing club circuit before moving to Ibiza as resident DJ at Tulp, playing every sunset from 6pm–3am. He also played Pikes, Es Paradis, Eden, Tropicana, Hush’s workers’ party and a weekly slot at Entice, while working promotions for Ushuaïa, Space, Eden and Es Paradis.

Back in the UK he has played Pacha London, Egg London, The Arch and The Volks, and was Promotions Manager at Coalition Brighton in 2016. As Torbuck & Dixon he released music recognised in Traxsource’s year-end techno selections.
