Brought up on a variety of genres, it was those songs with a beat that struck a chord with me. That led me to listening to the kind of stuff that would prompt my family to ask whether the record was stuck.

After flirting with trance around the turn of the millennium, I settled on house music - from soulful to tech but centred around the classic Chicago sound that underpins the genre.

I play stuff that I like and makes me happy. If that makes people want to tap their feet or hit the dancefloor then I'm even happier. For me it’s about exposing people to tracks they won't hear on the radio or in a high street nightclub.

All these mixes showcase my sound – some live, some at home. Whilst it’s not technically perfect at all times, whether in the club or on the radio you can be sure I’ll be playing something that should be turned up loud.
