Echinography - Spiny/Spiky Writing (or something around that).
Originally I thought Echinography was just the image of the oscillating waves that compose sound. A fun word I made up because I like etymology and word play.
But now I see much more in it. I think of the spiky writing of an EKG and see how they are like music; a deeply biological polyrhythm. To an informed ear, they give information or tell an intimate story.
All this to say that my young daughter is having an open heart surgery tomorrow and rhythm is really important right now. So, DJs let's keep the beat going steady. A possible complication is her rhythm being to slow, so this one has a little more whoomp behind it.
It was actually recorded a little over 2 years ago, when she was still in utero. Just been shy to put it out and only recently made the abstract connection. I've listened to it many times.

Another great set Toby. Had this on blast yesterday and loved it pal. It aged well for a 2 year year old recording. I wasn't able to follow the tracklist but there were some Beats around the middle of the set in particular that I'm going to have to go back for.
More importantly I hope went well with the surgery. Must be hugely worrying. I had a case similar in my family and it still amazes what docs can do these days. The same kid is now a star sportsman in his school so keep the faith.
