Tiranga3
Gurgaon, India
The word “Tiranga” translates to “three colors”, reflecting the horizontal tricolour design that holds profound meaning. Adopted on 22nd July 1947, just before India gained independence, the Tiranga was not merely chosen as a piece of cloth, but as a representation of the democratic, secular, and inclusive ethos of the Indian nation. Designed by Pingali Venkayya, the flag has since been the beacon of national pride and sovereignty, fluttering proudly on historic occasions, from the day of independence on 15th August 1947 to every Republic Day parade, and every significant milestone thereafter.
