Thumtha Dlaba, professionally known as Thumtha is a South African record producer
and DJ. Born in 2004, in the vibrant township of Gugulethu, he was immersed in a
vibrant environment from a young age. His musical passion ignited at a very young when
he became a trumpet player. He attended Khaya Music School and in 2017, he
performed at his first international gig which was held in Norway. Growing up in a family
with a diverse musical influence - his grandmother being a Jazz performing artist and
his father being a DJ shaped his musical journey.
Driven by a rentless passion for music and a deep-rooted desire to uplift his community,
Thumtha has embarked on a mission that transcends the boundaries of the ordinary. He
is not about creating music and making people dance but about catalysing change
through his art and talent.
