Satellite Thieves is an alternative rock band based in North Hollywood, CA; which formed in early 2009 when vocalist Gary Montenegro, guitarist Albee Chavez and drummer Steven Olivera (all acquaintances from previous bands) joined together to craft songs that would not only draw closely from their many influences, but also create a sound that would set them apart from anything they or their peers have done before.

Applying thick provocative grooves to infectious melodies, their music maintains a constant dark undertone kept in motion by the mishap-ridden and frequently introspective lyrics; delivered in a subtly confident mild-mannered temperament; making the listener feel as though they're being slowly eased onto a bed of rusted nails, rather than thrown onto one.
