Growing up as an army brat at RAF Greenham Common, UK during the arms race had a major impact on me. It made me realize just how much our actions shape the world. When I turned 18 I moved to Ireland and soon after joined Green Peace. Even at an early age I knew I wanted to make the world a better place and so began my journey as an advocate for animals and the environment. My interest in animal welfare started young when I would help take care of sick and injured animals at my Aunt’s animal sanctuary then expanded my interests to actively working toward the protection of whales and dolphins. I traveled all over the world advocating for their protection while their populations continued to crash. Seeing how toxic our oceans and waterways have become I started organizing Rubbish cleanups and continue to do this myself on a daily basis.
