The Award nominated/Finalist Family Favourites Radio (FFR) was established in September 2021 by Paul Sparrey, who produces & presents internet radio shows that unite care home residents, many of whom are living with Dementia, with their family members & loved ones in the U.K. or abroad.
Each show is produced 'to order' for a specific Home or group of Homes and is relayed over internet-connected devices, typically Smart T.V.s in communal areas or laptops/mobile phones, allowing families to listen to the show as well! Paul reads or plays the messages, if they have been recorded by the family member, 'on-air' and plays the requested song or piece of music. Our resident singer, Classically trained mezzo-soprano Flo Taylor, sings some of the requested songs on each show. Flo has a wide repertoire of songs, and will sing songs from the 1940s through to the present day if requested..
