We are The Mohave Beach Band. We were founded in 2015 and are out of Montclair, California. The band is a dance band with country, jazz and rock influences. We call our style “River Rock.”Most of our material is original composition but in very familiar formats and a few cover songs thrown in. It is our intention to reflect the Colorado River lifestyle and the Mohave Desert experience in our music. Good times! Joe Nicoara was born in Anne Arbor Michigan. He moved with his family to the SF bay area in Sunnyvale at a young age. The grandson of Detroit Symphony musicians he was raised in the classical music tradition on Oboe and Clarinet. In 1977 he purchased his first guitar and never looked back. He had some moderate success in Hollywood with New Wave and Rock bands during the mid 1980’s. He has continued on to become a full fledged songwriter and lyricist.
