Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, The Contro1freak plays the best music that Nerd, Anime, Meme and Mainstream Dance music culture has to offer. With over a decade of music gathered in his collection containing a multitude of genres, he has combined all of these to form together a brand that he calls Anime Dance Music.

A massive fan of Anime, The Contro1freak has had over 10 years of experience in both the Anime Convention community & in music as a DJ. He has played at & for multiple conventions such as Katsucon, AnimeNEXT, Zenkaikon, etc. as well as multiple Anime & Nerd themed afterparties, notably GoBoiano’s GBX: Anime Meets Nigthlife Event in 2015 & AnimeNYC’s official afterparty in 2017.

Currently, The Contro1freak is using Anime Dance Music to run Anime, Art & Music themed events to enhance the current nerd culture scene in New York City. He also is a proud member of Bare Canvas Sounds, an art & music collective focused on expanding the Black art & nightlife culture in New York City.
