Benn has been operating under various guises throughout the years. Long ago Benn was omnipresent in the finals of contests such as Diesel-U-Music, 10Days Off & Switch. He played his house- & technosets in bar Limonada (Ghent) , Sala del Cel in Girona, Bar Lasal & free parties in Barcelona, Contact Europe Festival in Milan, Rhythms of Peace Festival in Morocco, Bar A in Berlin & Moonbow Patagonia Festival in Argentina.
In 2005 he teamed up with his fellow/dj brother Questpeace. Under the moniker 'The Checkmatez' they blend funk, house, dub, reggae, hiphop, soul, blunted beatz, brazilian etc. They held residencies at Limonada (Ghent), Hungaria (Leuven), Roi des Belges (Brussel).
After a short break, Benn launched the radioshow 'Mélange Etrange' on Urgent.fm with vinyl buddies Fader & Lieven Karel Boudewijn. Every week, they serve up the deepest house, the most
challenging techno, the spaciest cosmic sounds and out-of-this-world electronica. Season
9 is running.
