There are still an amazing amount of 78rpm records out there in the world. Despite their demise as a serious music medium well over 60 years ago For about six decades they ruled the roost for playing songs, music, comedy, all types of entertainment, even propaganda and lectures popped up on shellac. Forgotten Songs is a trawl through my collection of 78s. Seeking out(largely) the unknown and the half forgotten artists and songs. I then like to look into the history and stories behind the music. Join me on the journey. It's decidedly not hifi. I pick up most the records for a few quid in charity and junk shops and they've lived a life. Crackle is part of their history.
