The American Classic is a student run radio show that can listened to on Livewire1350. It is run by Joshua Smith who devotes his degree at the University of East Anglia to studying America and also spent a year out in Missouri as part of a cultural learning exchange.

The show highlights some of the best music to spawn from the United States and discusses the cultural importance of this music both in a historical and contemporary context. The aim of the show is to entertain and educate, looking at new genres each week, providing a variety of artists and songs.
