Long Island, NY based duo, “The 1989” is the product of two 90’s kids; Tech Pat & 25Lyfe. Blending their hip hop influences with House Music and incorporating crafty vocal sampling, The 1989 has brought a myriad of new elements to classic 2000’s hip hop records transforming them into energetic underground bass inspired tech-house. Following a slew of independent remix releases, they released an official remix on Ultra Records for Chris Lake’s 2015 hit track “Stomper”. Getting support from the likes of Danny Avila, Tommy Trash, & Dr Fresch, The 1989 are seeing an exponential growth in the reach of the music. 2016 sees The 1989 looking forward to more selective original releases, and building upon their live and DJ performances.
