I'm just a greymuzzle dog who began learning to DJ in second grade with turntables before CDJs existed. My dad ran nightclubs, and I'd help after hours with sound and light system maintenance and record mixes to use. That led to DJing house parties, nightclubs, and live productions, including stage work, lighting, and live sound engineering.
I left that to pursue a career in IT. Boredom during the COVID lockdown led me to get my first digital controller in 2020, reigniting my passion for DJing.
I will never make it a full-time gig again, but I enjoy it when people appreciate my work. I've been using DVS lately, which I enjoy because I naturally revert to manual beat matching by ear when I use turntables. Something about its raw, instinctive nature has always been fun for me, and it connects me to my roots in DJing. I will record and post DVS mixes soon.
