Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. Alex Kacprzak aka TakaRat has always had a passion for music from a very young age. At the age of 5 Alex was taught how to play piano and was encouraged to participate in school talent shows, Cultural events and performances at Church ceremonies by his parents. He was even in a Children's electronic music band named Madonic at one point.

After years of practising and experimenting Alex decided that he would choose the path of production leading him into releasing his first experimental Deep House/Techno album named 891 in late December 2018. This album can be found on Spotify, Deezer, Amazon music and many others.

These days Alex’s music taste has shifted and he mainly focuses on producing and mixing the genre Drum and Bass as he is fascinated by the rhythm, history and culture behind the genre.
