DJ: 1981 - Present: Tony was born & raised in the SF Bay Area. He grew up in Millbrae, CA, a predominantly White community (98%), where urban music was not often heard. Tony, his family, and neighborhood friends, loved urban, dance, disco, and hip-hop music. Because of this, Tony learned to appreciate most genres of music. In the summer of ‘81, Tony met KSOL DJ Bobby Roque. Unsure of what he was going to do after High School, Bobby convinced Tony to pursue Radio as a career. Bobby taught him to be an announcer & the art of DJ MIxing. Bobby was good friends with the legendary Cameron Paul, who also began mentoring Tony. Within a year, Tony had landed an intern position at KSOL, not as an Announcer or Mixer, but in the Production Department. It was then that Tony was reunited with his High School classmate Michae Erickson (Air Talent/Mixer), who along with Cameron became the mix team on KSOL Tony became an Announcer & MixShow DJ.
