I practice Mindfulness as a lived experience, drawing on the ways in which we are already engaged in mindful pursuits that we are not aware of. Mindfulness provides moments of quiet, where we can explore and be curious about our bodies, minds and human possibility and the full range of inner life – fears, ambitions, desires, and vulnerabilities. My practice draws on music and poetry which provide opportunities to pay attention differently, and creatively, with imagination. I am inspired by many different musicians, artists, writers and particularly enjoy some of the rich offerings of Black feminist thought.
