This is the archive for Swing Cafe Radio that broadcasts Mondays 4 - 6PM CAT (Central African Time = GMT +2hrs) on Mutha FM. Tune in on http://muthafm.com/popup/index.php or www.muthafm.com/mobile.
The music policy centres around Swing-inspired music from vintage Swing, Big Band and Jazz and Blues, to the modern day Electro Swing, Funky / Jazzy / Swing House and Lounge. It can also include related genres such as Funk, Nu Swing & Ska, Rock-n-Roll and Rockabilly.
The show is hosted by popular Cape Town Electro Swing DJ JP Silver and also features DJ Django, poet & voice artist Miss Kiki and Austrian DJ / Producer Cab Canavaral.
The Swing Cafe is also a weekly live variety show featuring comedians, poets, singer / songwriters and more. Held Mondays @ The River Club in Observatory, Cape Town. Doors open 6.30pm and show starts 19:30. Tickets R30 from www.nomadtickets.co.za or at the door.
