G.J. Leenhouts (Formerly known as DJ X-ta-C (1988-1998), SirJon (1998-2007), Skanktified (2011-2012), Jon "Studio 69" Leenhouts (2013-Current) was born and raised in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He followed his mentor, Ben Liebrand (who had successful shows with "In The Mix" on Radio Veronica). Buying two cheap turntables in 1985 and a mixer, he started making compilations and recording them on tapes that were given to Club Owners. He got his break in 1986, spinning at a local club in Heeze named "Cheers", in late 1987 he spun in Club Hollywood (Eindhoven). In late 1988 he moved to the U.S. where he was a guest DJ at "The Tunnel" (1990), where he met Junior Vasquez and had a chance to spin 3 tracks at "The Sound factory". Spun at some local clubs in Knoxville, TN and moved to Nashville in the late 90's and held residency at "Liquid Lounge". In 2003, he held residency at a Club in Las Vegas and retired from DJing in 2007. He started remixing again in 2009.
