Dan Solar (AKA Dan Clark) is an Auckland-based DJ and producer hailing from the pioneering days of electronic dance music. Since the early ’90s, he has been a creative presence in the local scene — from opening one of Auckland’s first dance music record stores, to curating club nights and national DJ tours that bring together international and local talent. Over the years, he has held residencies at many of Auckland’s iconic nightclubs, festivals, and radio stations, including an eight-year tenure on George FM. His sets draw on the deep heritage of dance music while pushing the boundaries of House, Disco, Broken Beat, and more. With 2025 comes a renewed focus on his craft and passion for connecting people through music.
